According to a report from 247Sports, Oregon defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt is leaving the Ducks football program for an unknown reason.The reports suggests head coach Mario Cristobal will promote co-defensive coordinator Keith Heyward to defensive coordinator. Heyward spent the 2017 season as the team’s safeties coach before his promotion to co-defensive coordinator for the 2018 season.As for Leavitt, he was hired by former Oregon head coach Willie Taggart ahead of the 2017 college football season. After Taggart left for Florida State, he attempted to lure Leavitt with him to coach the Seminoles, but Leavitt decided to stay in the Pac-12.Now it looks like he’ll be in search of a new opportunity.BREAKING: According to multiple sources, Defensive Coordinator Jim Leavitt is moving on from Oregon.
